The Elementary Music Course is for children aged six or seven at the start of the course. The two books - Let's Go To The Zoo followed by Delicious Dreams - are themed, with engaging material especially designed for this age group.

We think the Elementary Music Course is an excellent musical start, involving fun songs, solfege-singing (do re mi) to help with aural awareness; and keyboard-playing, including repertoire, keyboard harmony and ensemble-playing. Rhythm and notation is studied in a way that is fun and relates to what the children are playing.

At Matrix, after the first two books (of about a year each), the next step is the Junior Extension Course.
